This week the Maui County Council agreed on property tax rate cuts for certain types of Maui property. The rate cuts are as follows:

Homeowner, $2 (current $2.50) , Apartment, $4.55 (current $5), Improved residential, $4.85 (current $5), Unimproved residential, $5.35 (current $5.86), Hotel, $8.20 (no change), Time share, $14 (no change), Commercial, $6.25 (current $6), Industrial, $6.50 (no change),Agricultural, $6 (current $4.50), Conservation, $4.75 (no change)

While the rate cuts are smaller than those proposed by Mayor Charmaine Tavares, this is still good news for Maui property owners.
