KAPALUA TO HOST LPGA

Kapalua Resort will host an LPGA golf tournament in October 2008. That will make Kapalua the only resort to hold both LPGA and PGA tournaments annually, according to Gary Planos, Kapalua’s senior vice president of resort operations. Simultaneously, Kapalua announced the signing of teen star Morgan Pressel as its touring professional. Kapalua has not been represented by a touring pro since Hale Irwin a decade ago.
The tournament will be held on the Bay Course and is scheduled for early October. Kapalua does a great job with the PGA in January and I'm sure they'll do the same with the women. Annika, Karri and Michelle will be fun to watch!
