WAILEA MAKENA CONDOMINIUM TRENDS
January 17th, 2008Among Maui real estate, the Wailea/Makena condominium market is among the most prized. We have completed our 2007 analysis for this market and below are our key findings:
- Sales slowed to 95 units, down 10% from 2006 results (see chart 1 below);
- Most of that decline happened in non-oceanfront complexes;
- While the median sale price declined to $1.236 million, the average per square foot number, the better measure in our opinion, increased 12% to a record $1157(see chart 2 below).
