APRIL TOURISM RESULTS

The Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism has released the tourism results for April and they are dismal. Maui visitors declined by 7%, 9% by air, and the ATA and Aloha bankruptcies were fully felt. Maui lost 24% of its scheduled air-seats in April. Canadian visitors increased 45%.
